H.O.R.S.E. Grand Final 2010
The Joy of Six… Bracelet No.6 for JC
Opting to start the Grand Final with my full compliment
of chips was a statement of intent. With close to half the chips in play from
the start of the game, I was never really anything less than extremely
comfortable, and certainly never entertained the possibility of not retaining
the title at any stage. The real story here is the rise of reigning Razz
Champion, Tom ‘The Gambler’ Chuter. Tom wandered in late, after his
usual ‘big match’ preparation of drinking heavily the night before.
Buying some extra chips to bring him up to joint last, he proceeded to outdraw
the opposition and build his chip stack. Once down to the final three, he had
an exceptionally profitable Razz round to put himself into a clear second
place. Carol went out 3rd shortly after, a long run of
bring-in’s in the Stud based rounds really bleeding off her chips. Thanks
to all for a fun day – great poker, and more importantly, great
company…
